Baked Lemon Donuts

  • 1 cup áll-purpose flour
  • 1 teáspoon báking powder
  • ¼ teáspoon báking sodá
  • ¾ cup white gránuláted sugár
  • zest of 2-3 lárge lemons
  • 1 egg, beáten
  • 4 táblespoons butter, softened
  • ½ cup sour creám
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • ⅛ teáspoon vánillá extráct
  • few drops yellow food coloring (optionál)
  • 2 cups confectioners sugár
  • ¼ cup hot milk
  • 1½ táblespoon fresh lemon juice
  1. Preheát oven to 350.
  2. Generously greáse donut pán, set áside.
  3. In á lárge bowl whisk together báking powder, báking sodá, sugár ánd lemon zest.
  4. Máke á well in the center of bowl.
  5. ádd egg, butter, sour creám ánd milk to the center of well.
  6. Stir only wet ingredients together.
  7. Once wet ingredients áre combined, ádd in the dry ingredients ánd stir until combined.
  8. Fold in vánillá extráct ánd food coloring.
  9. ádd bátter to á piping bág.
  10. Pipe bátter into doughnut pán, filling ábout ⅔ full.
  11. Báke for 8 minutes or until donuts spring báck when touched.
  12. Let cool in pán for 2 minutes.
  13. Remove donuts to cooling ráck to finish cooling completely.
  14. Prepáre lemon gláze by combine áll lemon gláze ingredients.
  15. Drizzle gláze over completely cooled donuts ánd let sit until gláze hás hárdened.
  16. Enjoy!
